No, No.. i think you misunderstood me.. i said that the 3500 series can hold 4000W max.. i believe they are rated at 1500W .... at least the ones available down here.. we have a few people running them with crossfire 1000D's (bridge sheet shows between 1200-1600W rms) on each sub for daily use/competition.. and for that kind of power, $289/ea. is pretty cheap.

3500's are rated for 800 watts RMS / 1200 watts Music (dynamic, or peak if you will)

They'll get pissy quick with 4kw in any medium.. very very quick

I'd suggest the Resonant Engineering SE Line.. Louder than 3500's, and for the price of one 3512, you could buy 2 SE's, and afford dinner afterward.. that's a deal

I'd also suggest the K line from Elemental Designs.. Another nice woofer, that cost WAAAAAAAAY less than DD...

There's no way those low numbers are the actual power handling numbers for the 3500 series.. i have 2 12" 2500 series and have them on a good 500-600 RMS.. and they are single 3 ohm voice coils.. if you got your stats on the DDaudio site, they have been proven to be grossly underrated...

you said "they are rated for 1500 watts" they are not rated like that... regardless of what they "can" or "cannot" hold

I know exactly what they can / cannot do.. My team owned one of the largest amounts of DD woofers in our 5 state area... lol
