lookin' at buying Subs

I want to buy subwoofers, I have $1000Canadian for subs.

Any brand, any number of subs, any size.

Note: I want to run my amp at 1 Ohm mono or maybe 1 ohm Stereo.

I have an Audiobahn amp to power them.

(A2300HCQ) 2 ch. amp, high current.

Amp Specs....

2400rms x 1@ 1 ohm mono

1200rms x 2 @ 1ohm stereo

600rms x2 @ 2ohm stereo

300rms x 2 @ 4 ohm stereo

For a SPL setup try a RE XXX 2 12" would do great.

If you are looking for SPL subs that aren't too expensive and will hold the power of that amp.. go with DD (digital designs) get either the 3500 or 9500 series.. the 3500 series are like $289/ea. for 12's and hold up to 4000w (1500w rms).. my 2 2500 series hit a 145.8 on dash in a trunk with a 1000W amp.

um...they do sound good. it is their SQ line. have you ever heard em? Bahns are built for one purpose, either SPL or SQ, not both. so the 1200s are loud but sound like *** and the ALUM Q sounds great but doesn't get real loud.

hey badazz i don't see how you can say a 3500 can handle 4000watts even at a burp you'd blow it. or at least that was the info i was given from DD saying that if you decide to run 1000watts rms or more to a 3500 series woofer you should be pretty careful. i know they underrate but i also think DD is getting kinda pricey now with the new prices.
