If he doesn't mind answering, why would you get a PhD in a medical field? To teach perhaps? I figured that's what you meant by the Dr / PhD comments. He is a Medical Doctor, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy.

Do he really go by Dr. Xxxx Yyyy, PhD?
