Ok....

If they total my truck, looking into a Avalanche......

SOOOO.....in the anticipation of the even or possibility of that happening, me being the caraudio freak i am, have built a box to house 6 x 18"ers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I love me some sketchup!

Tell me what ya think.

And should i go with XXX or MTs - might be a little tight for MTs, but if i DO go with MTs, keep in mind i could just close up 2 holes and get 4 x 18" MTs. I could then either play with 2 more, OR STILL get 6 XXXs in there!

Well... enjoy

The top piece is just a beauty board, can either b on or taken off.

The layer above the sub holes is 1" Plexiglass.

I plan to put mirrors on the area on he sides between the piece holding the plexi and the baffle.

With lights hidden below that same piece holding the plexi.

The beauty board isn't done. Going to either add MT or OmarvelouS at the bottom.

Dang you did that drawing that looks badass but id just go with the xxx's in that box and i wouldn't use the top beauty thing arent xxx's beautiful enough already.

It's intevnal vol is about 33cuft.

I'm thinking about making the port swappable. But i'd atfirst and mostly tune it to 30s.

Will be braced using steel rods.

1" MDF, hoping to get some trupine(sp?) the lighter alternative to MDF.

The plexi will cost an ARM and 2 LEGS, but i won't leave my subs out in the open exposed to harsh environmental conditions.

Plus this setup should get me some prize money so will cover the cost what ya say eyy?

its trupan. that alternative. so much lighter than regular mdf. little more expensive though. where i get it, and i get quite a discount, since i get it from fisher lumber //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif , but it still runs be about 24 a sheet for 3/4" But yea, there you go. By the way, i absolutly love the design.

very nice, good luck having your truck totaled //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The quarter panel will have to be replaced. The frame is most likely bent, landed on it's side. The left front tire is slightly bent in.

The sunroof was left open by the tow guy, so the whole inside is wet. Do they usually replace water damaged interior? Not to mention the stereo, the power/heated seats, and what not could be damaged.

I mean those alone i don't think would add up to the fair market value, which is $24k. But my friend on the other hand thinks it will.

What u guys think?

EDIT: POST 900!! oh yea!
