i like to do creative boxes but usualy the customs is trying to squeeze as much as they can in the space they have

in this case he wanted that much port and just happened to be it came out exactly the dimmentions he had to work with so i really couldnt get creative

 
i wonder if 'angling' the inside corner of the port would improve anything?

to avoid the abrupt 90 degree turn?

kinda mirror image of the outside 5" of port?

straight 90 gotta cause some turbulence?

 
the angled piece is to keep the port 6" the total length of the port and to help with the flow
yea but, i was thinking if the port corner could be built without a 90 degree sharp turn, maybe 2 x 45 (beginning of corner and end of corner) to make air flow a little smoother?
