local shop and i are finished

yea i dont get why the asswipes needed the sub to cut the hole, if they build boxes then they can cut a hole for a cast basket sub no problems
Either they were too stupid to have standard cut-out diameters, too stupid to simply ask the speaker owner to measure the cut-out size, or they deliberately intended to play with this previously unknown sub and used the cut-out size as an excuse to get their grubby little hands on it. Just goes to show, education is the best defense against others' ignorance and/or dishonesty.

especially when a sheet of mdf at my local homedepot is 30 bucks to boot. 80 bucks is a steal.
X2

Sorry you guys dont have any cool shops by you..

I enjoy seeing Subs from AQ,DD, RE (I sell them), ect ect..

I like to see what the subs can do..

so my installers may not know what it is..

I design the box they make it or I do..

I think most shops would charge $250+ to do a nice box..

$80 is a deal but if it dose not turn out right..well.. sorry man thats a hard one..

Better luck next time..

they probably do it the old fashioned way Im sure, set the subs on the box, trace around the whole sub and eyeball it and cut about .5" inside of that the whole way around, I have done it like that for boxes for myself but no way I would do it for someone else's let alone if I worked at a 'professional' shop

I would hope a shop would be professional enough to realize most manufacturers list a cut-out diameter for their drivers. It would be like not measuring speaker depth, just holding the sub up to a piece of wood and trace its profile to get enclosure depth. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Worst case scenario, they have to google the manufacturer phone number and call them. Hell many shipping boxes and/or owners manuals list the cut-out size, in several languages. So unless they only speak Swahili, I really dont know what their excuse for such a practice would be. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Since public demonstration and protest is legal and protected under your inalienable rights Id host a protest on their front lawn with your product that isnt theirs.

Thanks, review is complete. I feel Ive heard enough about them to post this review honestly...
"Dont let them get their hands on your gear, they will abuse it without concern for other people's property. You would be better off buying your equipment from a drunken hobo and having a blind monkey install it. Seriously, my dog could build enclosures better than them, and he's not even smart as far as dogs go. Im just sad I have to give them at least one star."
