I need to have my trunk sealed off. It’s a 2003 Saturn ion 2 door. I am firing port and sub into cabin. There is about a 1" gap all the way around the box that would need to be sealed off so it’s nothing real big. This person must be 100% sure they know what they are doing. Price can be negotiated. Looking to have this done ASAP. I am located in Shreveport, la 71118 will travel a short distance if need be.

build it out and use can foam. Basically your adding a front baffle that is over sized and you have to seal the rear deck too. use tape and silicone and wood. Otherwise, go to a local shop., private or perfessional is going to cost about the same amount. That is a pretty in depth project.

Refuse to use foam. I am needing this to look half way decent and after seeing some pic's off foam being used I want go down that rd. I have been to 2 local shops and both would require me to buy a new box from them. Plus, they would require me to leave my car with them for a few dayz and there is no way in hell that is going to happen. I will keep searching thx though.

not all installers do half assed work. the foam can be used in areas not seen. You must be looking at spl vehicals and stuff. OP, the point is to seal off and isolate the cabin air space from the trunk airspace thus this give you a sealed pressurized cabin that can give you a great listening area.

Yes I understand what your saying but the box and beauty panel must be removeable. My batts are located in my spare tire department so there is no question it must be removable. I never said all installers do crap wrk but I know I don't need a new box built just to be able to have my trunk sealed off nor do I trust anyone enough to leave my car with them for god knows how long.

I was speaking about the installs I have seen with foam everywhere. but yours is going to be exactly like mine FYI. I am doing the same thing. I have a 13kw system and I am making the cabin sealed off and that will give me more pressure. Basically, build your trim ring and make it air tight. then seal up any and all hole where cabin air and trunk air can mix.
