convert round port to slot port

You need to match the area. To find the area of a circle, you use the formula pi*r^2. r=radius (half the diameter of the circle). There are online calculators if you need some help.

Once you have the area of the circle, you just create a slot that matches that area and keep the length the same. Ex. Area of tube port(s) is 36". Your box is 18" tall. 36/18=2. Your slot port will be 2" x 18".

I was hoping someone could tell me what size slot port I would need ? The manufacturer recommends 2) 4" x 13.75" ports my box will be 2.5 cubes and 18" H? Any help would be deeply appreciated!
you will want to shoot for around 25in^2 of port area, the dimensions of the side that your putting it ton will determine the length and width

Actually generally round ports offer less turbulence therefor you can get away with less port area. Slot ports need more.

And even if you made a single slot port with the same area, it wouldn't have to be as long to get the same tuning. Dual ports need more length than a single port to get the same tuning, even though port area may be the same.

Once you get the tools and basics down it's not too bad. The turn table is a must imo.
