Local alternator guy...

Spoke to a REALLY well known alternator specialists who does all the crap for the concrete trucks at my job and he said hell take my OEM alt and bump it up 160A specifically made for my car. It will also come with a smaller pulley to make up for the lost amperage at low rpm. He gave me a price of $275

Sounds about right? and 160 amps is all that I need?

thats cool that its nearby and all...but i was quoted 300 from excessive amperage for a brand new 200 amp alt shipped...but its a convienience to have him nearby....
