LOC or Line Driver

my factory tweeters should be actively crossed. I don't know about the fronts/rear/center channel. I do have a factory subwoofer so I WOULD ASSUME they are? What what do I need to get in that case. I am going to amp the speakers. But then what do I do about the center channel? Maybe I should just go with a 2 channel amp for subs. But they are just not loud IMO. THIS is beginning to be a pain lol

what if I tap into the low levels from the subwoofer already in there into a audio control?
That would get you close but I'm convinced my factory HU rolls off around 40hz even though it had a dedicated sub channel (which my LOC is connected to). I guess I can't say for sure until I swap it out for an aftermarket. Your results may vary.

get the Audiocontrol LC7i or LC8i. run all your high level leads (every speaker including your factory subs) into the unit that way you'll have a full signal out. than go into a Four.1 (you can use any other brand EQ, just my preference) that way you'll have 3 sets of RCAs out with some sort of sound processing. don't worry about the center channel, the factory did that so they could get some sort of imaging from the front stage since they put crap speakers and processors in the car.

If I get the lci7 what's the need of the four.1 ? I thought the lci7 did it all ?

get a line out converter, run one pair of rca's to your 5 channel amp and tune it all from your amp....... that is going to be the easiest way. (not the best way, but the easiest)

nah lci7 should do it all

what? do you even know how to use the volume knob on a radio? the LC7i is just a Line Out Converter like the LC6i except it has Accubass. the use of the LC7i is for the Accubass, the use of the LC8i is for the 8 channels of input. how is the OP going to get a full 20hz-20kHz signal from one LOC of a factory system that is actively crossed? he isn't. Sorry but you have no idea what you're talking about. OP have factory subs, center channel, components up front, which are all indicators of an OEM system that is actively crossed. a unit to do it all would be a LCQ-1 or DQ-61. OP would still need some sort of equalization to defeat the attenuated signal that will be generated at moderate volumes.

Self-righteous prick

sorry wasn't aware of the standard system and how it's wired. good luck

ask fasfocus00, he seems to no everything about the car and wants to help you with your system, ask him how to run everywire back to the lc7i.
