Little holes on the box

Ok, I just recently purchased sub that already came with a ported box used. The thing is, it looks like the previous owner had drilled little holes on the top of the box to secure it to his car. There are a total of 6 little holes. My question is, does this affect the performance of the sub at all? If so, anyone have any good ideas on what to use to patch it?

patch it up with some wood filler, after it dries sand it down so its smooth. or you could use caulk.

its the easiest way probably...but don't make a mess. its ugly...

Yes, you should seal the holes. Another easy idea would be to cut a few small pieces of MDF, and then attach them over the holes on the inside of the box.

yeah the pretty way would be wood filler, the ugly fast way calk or silicone, and the long way is to put a cover piece of mdf over the inside

just caulk them from the inside "assuming" the sub it out and you can reach them...
