Little Help?

I have a PC that is a year or two old that I was going to use for media purposes only, I have an old monitor I hooked up to it to set everything up. Problem is, monitor does not display anything off of PC, but works perfectly when connected to my laptop.

When not hooked to anything, I get the "no signal" message, works fine off of laptop, but when hooked to desktop I get no message and no picture.

Any ideas?

Video card is probably shot, if it is on-board look for a cheap replacement off ebay.

Actually, forgot to mention that I hooked via VGA to my TV, and pic displayed perfectly. That was how I had it originally.
