ok hello people

i have a pair of vibe 6x9's 500W and i want to connect a amp to them.

in the future i am thinking of having a sub also...

anyway i was just wondering which amp to buy currently its a choice between a vibe 1300W a3 or a vibe 1400W blackbox (dont know model)

the a3 is around £30 cheaper but i dont know if me spending more money on a amp would make much of a difference. when i do get a sub it will most likely be a built in amp sub.

could you please help me thank you and have a good xmas

Those 6 x 9 speakers are probably 60-80 watts RMS so be sure to look for a 2 channel amps around 60-80 watts RMS.

Do not pay attention to the peak power rating of the 500 watt claim.

Consider this when choosing your subwoofer and sub amp as well.

Have a Merry Christmas also.

Cheers

what do you suggest i do?

shall i just connect the 6x9's straight to the headunit or get a lower power amp?

im guessing it wont make a difference about how high the power of the amp is because the speakers can only take a certain amount :S

not really sure

Your factory head unit is providing about 15-25 watts RMS which will play the speakers but definately under powered and the SQ will not be any where as good as even a decent after market amplifier.

Get a decent 2 channel amp which provides between 60-80 watts (maybe even as high as 2 x 100) to power the speakers and your good as gold.
