linking two monoblock amps together

I'm no expert, but in my opinion you are asking for trouble if you try to link together 2 different amp designs.

Even if they were the same you need to be extremely careful with the phasing/polarity and that's only if you determine the design would be friendly with the reduced load. And being that they are different, they will not be balanced load wise.

But as I said I'm no expert. Which two amps did you have in mind?

oh just a boss ol4kd and a spl z1x-3000d

i have the spl hoked up right now but it is acting weird like every once in a while it pushes more power to my sub but most of the time it doesnt push out enough power. i have no clue why it does that that is one of the reasons im trying to link two amps together but if its no possible with who different amp i might just get a nother of what i have. any sugestions

Sounds like it might be starving for power. If so linking the two would only compound the problem (even if it was a good combo to link).

What is your power setup like.

Does your voltage fluctuate alot, battery charge condition? Lights dim?

Big 3?

What Ga. Wire to your amps from Batt. etc..

yea when the amp does power like it is asposed to the voltage guage drops alot but on the digital cap that i have it goes down to 12 or sumthing it doesnt drop much. but yea my lights dim. i dont have the big 3 done yet. it is just the stock wire whatever ga. that is. but i have 4ga. for my amp cap and ground.

lol it seems like something happens everyday. my amp was working fine it wasnt low and smoke was comming from where the positive and neg for power go on the amp.

i been thinking about the big 3 but i dont kno where to get wire. should i go with zero?

oh i think it is getting enought power bc when the car is on the cap reads 14.something

everytime i talk about voltage drobs to the audio installers around where i live they tell me i have a messed up charging system

Youre going to burn up your amp if you dont get some changes made. You are running way too much power for that car to handle. You should probably think about doing the big three with 1/0 wire, a second battery, and a bigger alt.
