line output convertor and bose system

hey guys!

i have a 2006 silverado crewcab LT3 with the bose stereo.i am adding a small amp and sub to the system and was wandering if it'll be ok if i just use a regular line output convertor,or is there a special one i have to use?

cut the heads off the rca's and grab it before the amp behind the deck.
