Lights STILL dmming....help

Move a batt to the rear closer to the amp. Also what is your actual voltage drop?

Personally I'd do 2 batts in the rear with 2 runs of 1/0 to the back. Should be able to ground to the frame since it's a full frame vehicle...

I was having almost the same issue as you and i ran a ground from the batt to my ground point in the rear and i noticed a big difference. I still get a little dimming but its much less then before and my voltages never drop below 13v but then again i only have 1 red top up front.

i put my multi meter on my battery up front, while running, and it charges and stays at around 14-5volts. The other battery, using the same process reads around 12.7. Didnt kno if they should vary that much or not. Both batterys are BRAND new. Really not wanting to relocate my battery to the back, as it already has a place up front for the second one. I guess after work today, ill tie all my grounds together, and run them to the batteries, instead of the chassi ground. close to full tilt, it dosent ever go below 12-6 volts. so , guess ill do the grounds, and go from there. your second battery should not be that much lower. Upgrade the wires running between the batts. ASAP and see if that helps. Also, It could be your alt. isnt performing like it should.

You have a + from each batt to the alt. + right? Mine as well if they are both under the hood.

only one positive wire runs fro tne battery to the alt. i can connect the 2nd one to it also, if it might benefit anything?

how long is your wire from the batts to the amps? you could be dropping voltage making the amp and alt work harder than they should. i wuold have a batt up front, into an isolator, then back to 2 more batteries as close as possible to the amps.
