Lights still dim

The guy at the local stereoshop that installed the stuff said i have a 105-120 amp alternator in my car, and i have a 1.2 farad cap.

the lights still dim when i turn the subs up to a decent level

i have a brutus 1500 powering two 12'' SEs

Anyway i can prevent this?

Not really ap roblem, other than at night :-/

you will slightly see them dim, but if you see them really go down, onlt fix is a bigger alt.

try the big 3 if that doesnt solve the problem you would have to upgrade the alt

They do a little bit, when i turn them up however it's enough that I think it could be one of those little things people get upset over .. distractions .. bla bla. What amp alternator would I need to eliminate any/all (or most of) the dimming?

In all seriousness I would really try the big 3 first before you throw some money into a H.O. alt. You may be able to save alot of money if it fixes your problem.

Do the big 3, and then see how much it dims. Try removing the cap too.

thanks alot. Key to the big 3 working is not to skimp and use small wire.

What gauge would you recommend .. 0? 4?

Someone had a website for where to buy wire, but it's somewhere in posts I'm sure i can find it.
