Lights dimming more after BIG 3

Replace that optima with a red top or something else. Only use an AGM for a starter if it has a high discharge rate, otherwise you will get heavy dimming and stuff
Yellow top is fine as a starter battery. I've seen an Optima rep say it multiple times on several different forums.

You're not the boss of me, pal.

Oh and:

What is the difference between RedTop, YellowTop and BlueTop batteries?
RedTop: Use this for normal engine starting where an alternator immediately monitors the state of charge and provides energy to the battery whenever it is needed. This would describe most stock vehicles.

- Automotive and RV under-hood starting

- Heavy equipment where starting is the primary function

- Diesel powered vehicles with no aftermarket electronics

YellowTop: Use this when electrical loads are higher than average, or when the discharge cycle is more than typical engine starting, such as vehicles without alternators. This also includes vehicles with significant electrical loads that may exceed the average alternator output (for example aftermarket audio system, GPS, chargers, winch, snowplow, inverters, drag cars). This can also include vehicles that have a lot of electronics from the factory, such as a minivan with power sliding doors and a DVD player, especially if the DVD player is used when the engine isn’t running.

- Racing vehicles without a charging system (alternator or generator)

- Dedicated drag racing vehicles

- Diesel powered vehicles with aftermarket electronics

- Car audio/video applications exceeding 250 watts over the OE system

- Vehicles or heavy equipment with inverters, hydraulics, winches or other accessories

- Electric vehicles

So your system is louder.. which means its getting more power from your charging system.. which means your lights are gonna dim more.

Basic stuff here.

Ive seen the optima rep here say many times that a yellow top does not make for a good starter battery
I've read the exact opposite from Optima reps elsewhere. Their site says it can be used as a starter,

Trucks with winches, vehicles with multiple electronics, cars with high-demand audio systems, commercial vehicles and heavy equipment all rely on this battery to provide ultimate starting and deep cycle power.
And again, I've read through a lengthy topic with an Optima rep discussing Red Tops vs Yellow Tops, and he said Yellow Tops are fine as starting batteries. Do you know the username of the rep here? I'll try to find out where I read the topic, but it was a random Google search that I did a few months ago. I'll be back if I get a link.

Because Optima saying it makes it legit...

That's like retail stores telling people capacitors will alleviate their voltage problems.
