I have a 200 amp alternator i bought from knukonceptz. I installed it a couple weeks ago and i did the big 3 tonight. I dont have my system hooked up yet but i did notice that when my explorer is at idel rpm's at night and i have my nights on, the light seem to get a little dimmer. Then when i hit the gas the get a little brighter. Is there something wrong? Or is the idel rpm's just lower than on my stock? When the rpm's are at 1000 it seems just fine.

My lights do the same thing but my lights at idle are brighter now than before, they just get a little brighter when I rev the motor. My new alternator puts out more amps at idle than my stock unit did.

if it bugs you that much, they make a "better" pulley for your alt to have it rev higher, I don't recomend it though, unless the alt is designed to work at so many rpms

i wonder if they make cvt pulleys for alts? now that'd be cool, then you'd always get full output from your alt no matter how fast or slow your engine is running....
