I don't lift as much as I used to, but I'd like to get back into it. What kind of setup do you guys have?

I've got a bunch of log chains, lol. I make a lot of jokes with my friends about doing kinky stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

The chains serve a few purposes. With bench, squat, deadlift, ect. they help with lockout training. The last little bit is more difficult. The lower you go, the more chain is on the ground, and therefore the less heavy the weight is. As you go back up, the weight gradually increases as the chain links are lifted off the ground.

When I start to plateau with a workout, I add chains to make it more dynamic.

Also, they help build stabilizer muscles. They're hard to keep steady and they force you to go through the motions slower sometimes.

I've got:

A power cage

Flat bech

Incline/decline bench

45 pound Olympic bar

Hex deadlift bar

Z-bar for curling

T-bar for skull-crushers and hammer-curls

Olympic dumbells, which are probably the most versatile piece of equipment I have.

Fixed weight dumbells

Preacher-curl bench

500 pounds of cast iron Olympic plates

Elastic bands

Lots of chains

Ab roller

Jump rope

Treadmill

Usually, I do 5 sets of 5 reps for lifts, going up 5 pounds each set. Used to take pre-workout and protein shakes, but don't anymore. Now I just lift at school during "strength training" gym class.

My max bench is now 225

Incline is 215 (only got 210 last week though) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Deadlift is 365

Fastest 100 this year was 11.01

Fastest mile was a 5:45

Most pull-ups I've ever done in a row was 16

Most push ups was 65 legit ones in one minute, for a marine challenge at our school. I won //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ive got one of the high end Bow Flex machines with all the attachments, with the replacement rods/xtra rods.I stopped using it about two years ago..Ive been starring at it recently and thinking about starting back at it slowly till I get back into a decent routine/work out schedule,so I dont rush into it and feel sore as hell the following couple days.I need to get back to eating properly to to boost my matabilizim(ms) back up too.My job is pretty physical atm,but I feel like I could use more mass,or a bit more strength than where my body is at during this time.

I grew up on Free weights/using free weights..I had a nice set up at one time..The only thing that I didnt like was the space they took up,and if you slipped , chit was coming down on you and you could possibly jack yourself up if working out by yourself at times. Thats why I went with the Bow flex. Easy to store if needed and no need to worry about any real issues with slipping, falling or even a muscle cramp/locking up..Just let them go.I do miss a treadmill I once had that you could actually run on that took the pounding..Racquet ball will work your azz out man..Works your speed, keeps you focused, flexable, pretty much one hell of a full body workout

I work at a battery shop now, so i get a lot of physical exercise moving batteries around all day. We get a ton of junk ones in that I have to organize on pallets.

Simple bench and some weight

5x5 at 225 and did a 255 max last night

And a set of 10lb plates on Dumbbells

At 80 plus the handles for shoulder press

But lately I've been working out at my dads house to "motivate" him to work out

But he is a lot stronger than me

And p.s. My wife was doing bench before that pic, I really can lift more than that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
