Lethal injection 12”

Push down on the coil and make sure there's no rubbing. Motor shifting can be a hidden issue with the tighter coil gaps, the coils can rub or even get completely jammed up, being sandwiched somewhat in the motor.

As long as that sub is moving up and down and not rubbing, then you're fine. Just make sure you push straight down on the sub.
I did, seems to be fine!

Sub is beefier in person. I did a test fit and seems ill have to trim my cutout a few millimeters. See how there was no support on the bottom in the shipping box!

I have seen WAY worse. Much, much worse. But yes, I think subs should be completely put inside of at least a 2 piece Styrofoam shell or something, that contours to the sub so it can't gain momentum inside of the box, dampens the forces. These delivery drivers, some, seem to live lives of hell, where you can never deliver enough packages, always more to go. They get in a rush and are sort of abused, IMO, so they get to throwing stuff around and hating life. You gotta protect these subs in shipping. Idk, I guess they do math and figure it's cheaper to risk subs breaking in shipping, instead of doing more hardcore packaging.

I’ve seen much worse as well but even Skar Audio shipped my sub very well, beyond what I would have expected from them. I am by no means speaking negatively about IA. As long as this sub performs somewhat like I’m hoping, I will be a happy man!

Got my sub hooked up finally. I really like this sub guys but…..I think I’ve come to a conclusion that a single cab truck is a b!tch! I’ve tried at least 8 different setups ranging from a treo of 6’5s to dual 12’s.(12’s sealed). Just can not find satisfaction. Maybe I am looking for “trunk bass”. This lethal injection is doing its job but still not satisfied. I do wonder if I am underpowerimg it. It moves but not like some other setups I’ve tried. Think I’m just going to install the cdt comps with maybe a something simple as far as a sub.

4 - 8's if you have the mounting depth. My 4 - 8's scare the **** out of people. Multiple tap outs. Broke my overhead console.

Wish I could hear your setup man! Don’t think that would work well for me. Can’t go too high as far as a box. It would make me seats sit to far toward which makes for an uncomfortable ride.

That looks like it would hit pretty good. I would think if the sub was firing down that it might sound better. Then upholster the box to match the truck.
I didn’t cover the box yet, was waiting on the sub do arrive and make sure it worked well with the enclosure. I had another setup that was down firing and it didn’t perform as well. Of all the setups I’ve tried thus far in this truck, subs/port up sounded best.
