Do you live in an area where all police action is recorded by dash cams?

Also, if you are ever being hassled by police for no reason. Ask for a sergeant or higher ranking officer to respond to the scene.

If the cop used your phone to make a call, then that is a huge deal. Searching and USING are not the same. I would hammer the 2 cops sacks to the wall in court on this one.

i know my dad wants to file a complaint, but like i said i dont know if there would be a point, the officer and offic(whatever the woman is called) i doubt would have anything happen to them, and taking them to court would cost money, and would only be worth it if i got some in return...i definately wouldnt mind taking a few dollars off their hands.

i effed up my hand a while back, i should say that they way they were handling my hands put me in pain or something.

my luck if i filed anything agains them id end up with the whole PD on my nuts about every thing trying to get me arrested and crap with the way they are around here.

Were the lights on...on top of the car. The flashing blue and red lights, whiled they were searching your truck?

Also as far as searching. Without probable cause they can't search. ie. Drugs on you or plain sight, or a drug dog barking at the car. Or weapons.

no the lights werent on, they just drove up and turned the spotlights on.

Then more than likely the cameras weren't on if they had them.

The cameras are automatic and come on when the light bars come on. Usually

I would threaten to go to the press with the story unless the officers were to give a written apology and heavily reprimanded.

Government agencies will do alot to keep from getting bad publicity.

Talking about drug dogs and the K9 unit stuff, 99% of those officers have a tell sign and it said enough will make the dog bark and flip out, then they search your car. One of my good friends, his dad is part of the K9 thing and can make his dog bark on command.

he said whether or not it was ridiculous the way the cop treated me, it was still against the law to have anything hanging from my rearview mirror.

i def....would not let this go man....thats the problem cops do this stuff and no one ever does anything about = they keep on doing it.....even if you dont get money from them just bringing it to their attention......u could have just stopped and boned ur ex then send her on her way lol

File a complaint police department will cover court cost, if your parents anserwed the phone whe the cop called, you have them against a wall. They are not allowed by law to do that, when we got stopped for drinking on the beach, the cops made us call our parents, because he said legally he cannot use our property, and you could sue for public humiliation, harrasment, and deprivation of character. I know this because i am a junior officer at the department, we get payed like 7 bucks a hour to do shit work. But all the cops are easy on us
