im 17 turing 18 in june and am really thinking about buying a crotch rocket. i have talked to my mom and she will co sign for me to get a a 3000 dollar loan. i dont want any thing amazing just want it to look nice and run qhat would you guys recomend . like brands and models. what should i stay away from etc..

i think you will probly kill yourself. but if you REALLY want to kill yourself just get a hayabusa.

why do you say that?? i know they are dangours thats why i dont really wont any thing that is made for speed just some thing to cruise on.

About an hour ago there was a wasp in my house, buzzing around by the windom. I grabbed some newspaper, rolled it up, and swat him. He was still alive and moving so I just picked him up and threw it in the toilet. Well, about 5 minutes ago I had to poop and I forgot about the wasp. Im sitting down, pooping. A few turbs came out. Then, I felt something on my ***..kind of thought it was the water running down my cheeks from the splash of the turb. Well, it started to go towards my *******. I jumped up, and as I did so my cheeks smashed together traping the wasp inside my butt. Not a half a second after jumping up I felt the worse stinging in my life. The bastid shoved his thorn right into my soft, rose bud. Im screaming, jumping around and brushing off my anus. Its the worst pain ever. I got him off my ***, and the little ****er just flies up and into another room.

So now, im standing up at the computer. Debating if I should go get my brother so he can put some creme on my swollen rectum. It sucks.

If its just something to "cruise" on, dont get a crotch rocket.

Tell me this,

What actual riding experience do you have? Any, alittle, some? Taken any safety courses? Are you mechanically inclined?

Not to sound like a dick, but this is all coming from someone with 4 years experience and 4 different bikes, but a 125 dirt bike is no crotch rocket.

When I first started out, I was similar to you. Not a whole lot of experience but I wanted to learn to ride. So what I did was to save up about $1000, bought a old junked Suzuki GS500 and rebuilt it. It looked like ***, but it ran strong; it wouldnt hurt me (emotionally, not physically) too much if I downed it, since the bike was only worth $500. I beat the piss out of that thing. Learned everything I could about basic riding, traffic, road awareness...really the day to day stuff that you take for granted. While on it, I took a few rider improvment courses from the motorcycle safety foundation before I even considered getting a bike and dropping a serious amount of money on a new one.

If I were in your shoes, get a bike taht needs some work. Rebuild it with your uncle, have a fun time doing it, and ride the piss out of it and gain the experience you'll need for a real bike in the future. Dont start off on a bike thats too much for ya with the intention of "growing into it." Bullshit, your young, and again, not to sound like a dick, but young riders are hotheaded. You'll want to open it up, and when you do, and it dumps you, you'll regret it forever.

...just my $.02

And you should learn how to ride one flawlessly before you start looking for power. Too many ambitious kids our age these days.

Just look for that thread from the past couple days about the kid who slammed into the back of a semi at 120MPH...
