Legal advice- hospital incident with mother

My mother was recently taken to the hospital and was given some drugs which years ago, they gave her and found out shes alergic too and has bad reactions. When she was taken in about a month ago i believe it was, she basically disappeared for a week. Her mother, who is also crazy, was the only person who knew where she was and could contact the doctors.. but they gave her the same drug, which literally scrambles her mind in a way, and sent her to a loony bin for a week. The drugs, the first time she was injected with them in the hospital, made her believe she was kidnapped by terrorists and being held hostage.. so you can see how this would make doctors believe shes crazy, but they did this again on her most recent visit and instead of being responsible and possibly liable, they just ship her off and label her crazy.. even though they basically drugged her. If anyone can understand this, then i'm pretty sure you have issues too because i can NOT explain this clearly.. lol.. When i went to try and check on her, i was turned away and told she was vacoracted (Could not correct spelling, sorry..) and only her family could have any contact with her. (I'm her son, yet by family they were saying only her mother had access)

I'd be gettin her one of those medic alert bracelets that say what she's alergic too
Well on her file, its on the top of the medical file i believe.. Also they're trying to bill her 20-30,000 dollars. I definitely plan on sueing, but with how diverse this forum is, I figure it might be a place to start. I'm also going to discuss it with my criminal lawyer, and have him steer me in the right direction, but shes very broke and I don't want to take this to a lawyer that will try and give her a couple thousand and bank off of the situation.

what drug did they give her......Im guessing some kind of anti psychotic medicine? Or bipolar medicine maybe?
Attovan i believe.. and MS Contin, which both have nearly killed her in the past. Forgive my spelling, because i'm not too familiar with these situations..

My main reason for posting here before i talk to my criminal lawyer for advice is because i've seen all different advice here before, plenty of helpful people along with the useless.. I never know what i'll learn and i'm very open. I'm just looking for ideas, and if anyone has had a similar situation, any input is nice
