Well, i own 2 camaros, a 72, and an 88, and im pretty pissed at what they came up with so far...

Anyone who hasnt heard about the leaked pics has pretty much been under a rock, or hasnt been to any car forums in the past couple weeks...

I wish to direct you all to Scott Settlmire's statement about this leak. It is a rough version, NOT FINISHED, especially the interior diagrams, but gives an idea of what we'll see in a few weeks time at the January auto show LIKE I'VE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG.

First.....thank you Jason and Chris for 'doing the right thing"........you could have increased your web traffic by a huge margin yesterday, but you once again have proved to many many people that you are --both of you-- a class act. I'm truly grateful.

See what I mean? First impressions are oh-so important. We did not get the chance to control a first impression. The pictures you saw are obviously not of a finished product.

WE won't go into the financial impact this will have on GM....but suffice to say it will.

We do want your input.......but there's a proper way to get that. Your input, believe it or not, has been somewhat compromised in that, again, you did not see a finished product.

Moreover, it started a firestorm of controversy on several sites..and people started flinging insults back and forth.....and in a few cases, some close friends were summarily flamed beyond recognition. Because of someones' (that's plural, by the way) poor judgement, people are now mad at each other. That is even MORE unfortunate.

So........yup.......I am beyond angry at the GM or contract employee that allowed these photos to be posted. I suppose I will eventually lose some of my anger at a few webmasters that also played a part in this scenario.

All that said..........I hope you like what you saw. It is not the finished concept...and moreover, you can never adequately or fairly judge a product by a picture......esp. one like you saw. I hope that each of you will get to see the concept in person as it tours the country to several autoshows and events.......and that you are even more excited and enthused.

I hope that there's a lot of good that comes from this unfortunate experience......and that now, most, if not all of you can plainly see that 'The Future Indeed Looks Bright!"

with that said... picture time!!!!!! I beleive that the photochopped apperance is for comparison/decision sake in GM, probably these pics were for chosing which styling to go with and someone leaked them at that point.

not sure if im liking the IRS (from a drag racing position)and the exhaust setup (true0ish duals with a single cat and crisscrossed mufflers???) but w/e

fugly as shit, i'd rather have the new mustang, and i love GM. they should rethink that right there

looks very similar to the dodge charger the way it's sort of boxed in.

Well I mean in all reality they've stayed true to a lot of the features of the Camaro, but it looks too much like they're trying to copy the new Charger. I've seen some fan-created designs that have looked awesome (much better than what GM has come up with). Hopefully GM puts a lot more thought into their new line of F-bodies...

I dunno though, something about that car looks sweet. At least it looks somewhat original. Oh yeah and the back end kicks ***. Just my 2 cents.

Well, from the posted comments so far.. as i said it pissed me off... it looks like the are going euro, when they are an american based company..looks nothing like a camaro, and shouldnt have the camaro name.

I heard they were comming up with a little something for 09 about 2 years ago and started setting aside some money then, i have around $13,000 and if the car looks like this when it comes out, or roomers dont change of it looking like this, that money is goign to be spent pretty quickly as its needed fairly bad now anyway.

But then again... nothing is set in stone, and these are just ideas right now, crappy ones.. but none the less

i honestly think it has gone retro a bit. the front grill with the high rear quarter panels scream camero.

LOL! THey should just make the old school sheetmetal a little wider, put a lower slung chassis on it, with a few spruce ups to the rear and the front.
