Lcd vs plasma.. What one to buy and why??

I just threw my hard earned dollars down on a Panasonic plasma. With a 50'' window, 1080p, anti-reflective screen, 600hz refresh rate and under a grand from best buy it can't be beat. The old myths about burn in, screen heat, and glare are out the window. Mine has the matte screen and the glare is very close to that of the LCD's but with a better picture. The colors are much crisper than any LCD they had in store for under$2000. If money were no object I may have scooped up one of the Samsung LED's but for a thousand bucks less the current line of Panasonic plasmas are tough to beat.

LED's aren't really a joke. They were when they first came out and cost 4 grand for a 46 inch, but they've come down substantially, and they comprise what is the best TV available.

there a joke because I cant justify paying 30%+ more $$ for the same PQ with a backlight.... Dont get me wrong , I would love an 8500 but I would take a kuro over it any day of the week.. Stupid move pioneer.. This isnt the movie business, your not supposed to get out when your on top

Right now you can buy an Samsung LCD 46" for 1579.95 with a 150,000:1 dynamic contrast

or you can buy the LED samsung 46" which has the same Picture for 1599.99 with a 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast

cuz they are not selling, of course you can drop the price of something that costs less to make than a lcd... Your paying for technology .. The PQ .. meh.. I still think the A950 looks better than all of them to be honest

The same price, and better quality, and you'd take the LCD? I don't know if you are paying for technology or not but when the price of tv a = the price of tv b, and tv a has a better performance. I think that means tv a is > tv b.
