ATM I have a samsung LN52A750, and I want something bigger.. I know at this point most higher end hdtvs only go up to about 60" ( which is plasma ) unless you want to pay $3000+.. So my option is a larger lcd ( dont want an LED , as their to overpriced ) or a 58" plasma..

So who in here has what. I do get a little 24p film judder and motion blur when panning ( like all lcds get ) So Im leaning to a plasma now.. I know the plasmas of today dont have the motion blur issues nor are burn in or IR an issue anymore, So are there any bad things about a plasma nowadays? Besides the fact that unless you get a matte panel its gonna have glare in bright rooms, but my sammy has a SQ01 panel which is damn near like glass anyways, so that wont bother me either.. SO what do you guys think

LCD. No screen burn and can be viewed from nearly any angle...
Plasmas actually have a better viewing angle , and like i said in the op, IR and BI are not even close to an issue anymore..

Anyone have a plasma? Is there any lag at all?

No lag. LCD screen blur on fast action gaming sucks too, and the colors are very artificial.

The only drawback to plasmas were the screen burn in issue, which isnt an issue anymore really.

I have the panasonic 50in 800u series plasma. its ***.

We just got a new LCD and I like it a whole lot more than the plasma. The black levels of our plasma is pretty bad, and they have scattering red pixels all over the place. Very distracting and very annoying.

800u s were badass especially for the cost/.. I think they are discontunued now tho, but its a great set... mine is 120 hz processing and there is a huge difference between turning AMP on / off.. So there isnt much lag there BUT like all lcds they **** at panning. ( like left to right , or right to left especially with text )

Is it even worth trying to throw my samsung on ebay?? I mean depending where it goes It might cost me a fortune just to ship and insure it, being I think its 95 pounds //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

thats a bad panel or processor then.. Technically plasmas should ALWAYS have better black levels and contrast, even in comparison to new hi end LEDs.. Like said , again, burn in has not been an issue in plasmas for 3+ years now

Wait for the new 3d tv to come out:greedy:
lcd is already on that, and also its wayyyyyyy to new of a technology for me to be getting into... ESPECIALLY since HD3D wont be utilized much for a while , nor can you fully view it without HDMI 1.4 on every component you own

Please buy a L.E.D T.V
I calibrated my 750 and I swear I can not tell a dif in PQ or contrast while watching 1080p 24 to the new Sammy LED 55B7100.. Led s are way to expensive for what they are, .. A backlit lcd, with I higher " dynamic" contrast ratio, which means nothing

I dont wanna spend more than 2k... almost forgot that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Technically it is not my tv so I have not looked too much into it, but I was thinking that there may be something wrong with it. The picture is really good, but like I said, the black color always has hundreds and hundreds of bouncing red pixels. Not a huge deal, but for an expensive tv, you wouldn't expect it.
