Layed off..

Same way in NC just call in or go on the website and answer a couple questions and they give you a check. Only problem is getting them to approve it. I know a couple people who were laid off and were denied the first couple time's but they all ended up getting approved eventually. It just took a little longer then expected. With my job cutting hour's every week I work under 24 hours I get a $365 check but right now everything is picking up again and we're working 40 hours plus OT if you want OT. I work at a Lowes Distribution Center.

Wal-Mart is usually always hiring //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
yea usually always hiring, were i live it went from needing people every week to now only doing in warehouse transfers.... we use to see 50-100 people a month move threwout the company now nothing...crazy.

Honestly, I dont see the problem with them making you go look for work. After all, you do want to work? so you just carry on looking for a job that you want, and document the outcome. Unemployment doesnt last forever, so you better start looking and collect. The best you could do is get something under the table and collect as well.
I got layed off a few years ago, Had 16 weeks from them severance, collected unemployment and worked under the table. I was making a ton of cash for a while. like 2k a week. It was nice while it lasted.
You're the kind of person that gives anyone on welfare/unemployment a bad name.

Thanks for taking advantage of the system.

In FL you log into the website every 2 weeks and answer 4 questions then wait for your direct deposit or check.
Even if you had to go job to job, you'd be retarded not to grab money you are entitled to while looking for work.

You will max out at $275/wk though. FL unemployment sucks.
So you call in once a week and answer 4 questions on a website every 2 weeks.. also gotta go job to job? its not that i dont wanna go out and look for a job.. its just i already have a career.. and ill just be waiting for the company to hire again..

Really? i tryed for overnight stock alot of times... never got a call or anything.. but i wouldn't mind working at Walmart for like stock or something..

Go Obama?

Sorry to hear about the layoff. Check into Publix if there's any in your area, great stock benefits and they pay well enough to keep you on your feet until your OG company calls back.
