Didn't think it would ever happen to me even how bad things are... but still.. company i *worked* for.. had like 18 brand new trucks and plenty of jobs(i thought).. but to find out the boss comes to me and tells me they havnt been able to bid one any jobs that the jobs they been doing they had to do for half price because how bad things have gotten.. so he told me he was pissed because he has to lay off 5 guys.. which is about 3 trucks... and they have to start from the bottom... meaning the people that have been there long doesn't get layed off.. i was the last one hired almost a year ago so they had to let me go.. they can't afford to have 3-5 trucks going and not bidding jobs.. but he told me he had my number and would call me in acouple months... because he said he loved my work and really hated he had to even do this...

I just don't know what im gonna do now.. like a bad dream..

im one of the last people that would get laid off at my work. And since i deal with wheelchairs and oxygen im pretty much guaranteed not getting laid off cuz people have to have them. sorry to hear though man

Are the companies that deliver that stuff scamming medicare?

Whenever grandma comes over they bring the oxygen over and say they are

going to pick it up, but never come and get it. You have to force them to come get

their stuff back. I suspect they are hitting medicare for extended rental fees.

Something else will turn up. Its not your first job, and it wasnt your last job. And ya, go sing up for unemployment. All you do is call in once a week. it can all be done over the phone through an automated system. and they mail you the checks. You should do it tomorow, cause it takes a few weeks to get the ball rolling, and you will need some income im sure.

When I was on Unenjoyment they had to find you a job in your field with semi comparable pay. They can't make a lawyer go apply for a dishwasher job type thing.

I would just tell them when they sent me some letters saying go apply for x job that it wasn't enough to make ends meet.

Honestly, I dont see the problem with them making you go look for work. After all, you do want to work? so you just carry on looking for a job that you want, and document the outcome. Unemployment doesnt last forever, so you better start looking and collect. The best you could do is get something under the table and collect as well.

I got layed off a few years ago, Had 16 weeks from them severance, collected unemployment and worked under the table. I was making a ton of cash for a while. like 2k a week. It was nice while it lasted.

In FL you log into the website every 2 weeks and answer 4 questions then wait for your direct deposit or check.

Even if you had to go job to job, you'd be retarded not to grab money you are entitled to while looking for work.

You will max out at $275/wk though. FL unemployment sucks.
