Well here is the latest, pics comming soon.
I havent been able to work on the truck as much as I would like to becasue the shop I had it in ended up closing the doors. I will have pics up as soon as I can but I wanted to give an update.
I installed a 10" superlift kit on the truck because I wasnt happy with the 6". I went to an 8" and still was not quite satisfied so I bought the 10"
installed the new AGR steering box with the steel brabing plates and set up everything for cross over steering with hydro assist, just waiting for the rest of the parts.
Now to the system,
installed a powermaster 200 amp alt, going to buy brackets to run 2 of them, for some reason the biggest I can find is 200 amp. I plan on putting in a tool box and getting it some what ventilated without risk of getting water in there. I plan on mounting at leat one more battery (I already have 2 under the hood) and my amps because not much room inside the cab. If any of you guys have any suggestion on a good way of getting good airflow through that tool box without getting water in there let me know. I planed on cutting out 4 holes on each side and installing fans and making a small cover that will extend a couple of inches out of the box. kind of what you would see on the vent for a dryer hose on the side of a house.
I Got my amps already, I got a ppi pc2350 for subs, and a pc4100 and pc2100 for mids and highs. I also picked up a deq-230 eq for processing.
For subs I have 3 10" older JL w6's (the biggest sub I can fit at the time, and I had them lying around so it worked out pretty good). each sub will be getting about a cube sealed if everything works to plan.
I got some mmats pro641 3 way components to use for the front. I am going to have to get creative with mounting these. I plan on making some custom kicks for the 4" and tweeter and might have to mount mid bass in door with custom pods (do not have enought mounting depth clearence in door)
I want to run some 6.5" or 8" mid bass in the rear but have not decided on a model yet.
I have an alpine cda-9885 for my head unit.
I'm not going to a competition quality system at this point, just a good daily set up.
Let me know what you guys think with what I plan on putting in and make any suggestions.
Thanks, I will have pics up later today.
