Well I just got my new laptop earlier today, and now im setting it up. Well it wouldnt connect to my router wirelessly so right now its wired to the router. Then when I clicked on internet explorer it wont load any websites. All its saying is 'detecting proxy settings'. Its been saying that for almost 10 minutes. What could the problem be?

Is the wireless switch turned on for the laptop?

Next, did you go in and mess with any of the settings when you ward sired it?

Finally, Run your network wizard and see if you need to adjust your settings. Im on a comp with windows 2000 so I cant be of anymore help right now.

Well I fixed the proxy issue, and now its just not connecting wirelessly to the router. I will restart the router, as soon as im done installing my virus protection.
