laptop battery dying

100% charged and it lasts just about an hour. comp is a little over 1.5 yrs old. it is a compaq presario m2000, yeah i know not a very good laptop. anyway since i just dropped 700 on a new desktop i need a solution besides buying a new laptop fo rthe battery.

ive found replacement batteries for this but are there extended life batteried that i could buy?
