Lamp on after alarm-delete?

Okay, my stock alarm didn't work; and was just taking up space so I decided to disconnect it and take out everything.

Unfortunately for me, I have a Ford, and everything under the center deck is in a tangled electrical-taped mess. I'm sure that 1/2 of the weight of the car is electrical tape.

At any rate, I followed the wire that triggers the alarm for the hood opened, the positive/negative for the actual unit, and the positive/negative for the siren into my firewall in which I lost them in the tangled jungle that is my console. I decided to cut them right after the firewall.

Now when I have the key in the ignition, the middle lamp is on [The one that switches on when your doors are open.] and it won't turn off. I double checked and triple checked that I only cut the alarm wires.

And I know I should've just left it, but I didn't... and I need help now.

[And it's also making 5 beeps when I put in the key; but I can't remember if it was doing that before I took out the alarm]

P.S. ****in' Fords.

Is it a Mustang? Fusion? Edge? If it's not one of those, then you probably don't have a factory alarm. You might have the Ford VSS system that I install. What year is the car, and when did you buy it? The 5 chirps means that it is in what's called "lot mode". Post a pic of the brain, and some info on the car, and I'll see if there's anything I can do to help.

I have a '98 Mustang, I don't know where the brain is. I have an idea where the keyless entry is [in the trunk] and I can take a picture of that... but as for the brain of the alarm, I have no idea.

I got it a year or so ago, actually less. It has about 93K miles, V6, and has a lot of ****in' problems. But, that's another story. From what I know; the girl bought it with the 'premium sound system', and it has keyless entry. The remote that I found in the car was rusted out and didn't work. So, I had to toss it. But, it had an alarm button on it, so I'm assuming it's a stock alarm.

And what is "lot mode"?
