Okay, my stock alarm didn't work; and was just taking up space so I decided to disconnect it and take out everything.
Unfortunately for me, I have a Ford, and everything under the center deck is in a tangled electrical-taped mess. I'm sure that 1/2 of the weight of the car is electrical tape.
At any rate, I followed the wire that triggers the alarm for the hood opened, the positive/negative for the actual unit, and the positive/negative for the siren into my firewall in which I lost them in the tangled jungle that is my console. I decided to cut them right after the firewall.
Now when I have the key in the ignition, the middle lamp is on [The one that switches on when your doors are open.] and it won't turn off. I double checked and triple checked that I only cut the alarm wires.
And I know I should've just left it, but I didn't... and I need help now.
[And it's also making 5 beeps when I put in the key; but I can't remember if it was doing that before I took out the alarm]
P.S. ****in' Fords.
