twinkieC405 10+ year member ((d(-_-)b)) 183 0 e-town, PA Nov 1, 2004 #6 so basically makes it sound louder?
JimJ 5,000+ posts Tangled Up in Blue 32,922 107 Hillsborough, NC Nov 1, 2004 #7 sounds deeper, not neccessarily louder... also reduces power handling.
twinkieC405 10+ year member ((d(-_-)b)) 183 0 e-town, PA Nov 1, 2004 #8 isnt reducing power handleing a bad thing? and when u say polyfil do you mean just sound deadner?
JimJ 5,000+ posts Tangled Up in Blue 32,922 107 Hillsborough, NC Nov 1, 2004 #9 depends, if you have a low power amp, a more efficient enclosure could be just what you need. If you have a 1kW+ powerhouse, probably not. polyfill /= sound deadener...the two are completely different. Polyfill is what you stuff in pillows, sold at Walmart or K-mart in bags.

JimJ 5,000+ posts Tangled Up in Blue 32,922 107 Hillsborough, NC Nov 1, 2004 #14 neither do most people...there are other factors to consider in a ported box, so polyfill might not be a good idea there...
