it looks a bit goofy, but I dont know about "lame'.... the word "lame" suggests the item being refered to as a whole.

My local Memphis tried to sell me one of those the other day, 10" version. He said it had tons of spiders to make it stiff, for "cone control". he then went on to say it built for SQ, not SPL. Oh, and he wanted $1400 for it but would make me a deal for $1200.
Anyone know the dealer cost on these? The guy showed me some paperwork that claimned his cost on that thing was almost $800 (after Id laughed at his quoted price to me). I found that impossible to believe.

I think they only make those in 15" and 18"

Not unless its a custom job or special order deal. That one there is a LVS18X3.

Well it looked like a ten, and he called it a ten. If it was some custom order thing, he never mentioned it. It was sitting ona shelf in the subwoofer display area along with all the other over priced stuff they had. *shrug*

If dealer cost is truely $800, how can anyone justify buying one? That's more than a W7, more than a solo-x/BTL/MT, etc of any size. lawl?
