Need suggestions

I'm thinking of getting two of these subs

but I need to find an amp for $140 to power them, any good recomondations?

I was thinking hifonics but have heard bad things about them.

Okay - those are Dual 4 Ohm with an RMS rating of 400w.

You'll be looking for 800w or so at either 1 Ohm or 4 Ohms.

That shouldn't be all that hard to source for in your stated budget but you're going to have to look in places like eBay, the Classifieds here, or the like.

That kind of power at retail pricing most likely won't be found for $140...

It's inverted.

As for am amp, it's 2' long, but it should work nicely:

Should realistically deliver about 420-430w rms per channel at 2 ohms.

i noticed that they are inverted, but is that going to affect the quality? What kind of brand of amps are ok right now? I saw a Kicker ZX750.1 Factory R/B for 220 I was thinking of getting that or are there better deals out there

I had a profile amp in the prelude I used to have. It was running a Kappa Perfect 10.1 and pushed 300rms. I thought it did VERY well, I liked it and never had a problem.

But I agree thats a huge amp and might limit you on placement.

That Hifonics amp wont give you enough power, you need something with more ooomf...
