L7 watts?

How many do you have, one or two? Also, is it (are they?) the dual 4ohm/coil version? If you only have one sub, and it has dual 4ohm voice coils, then yes...you can wire it to 2ohm. If you have a pair of L7's, and they are both dual 4ohms, then you can not wire them together for a 2ohm load....your only options would be 1ohm and 4ohm.

Ok i know 400 watts rms is skimp or sounds skimp for these but would it sound ok? i found a 2 channel amp (vga1600.2) that puts out 400watts rms x 2 at 4ohms

1600x1 @ 4ohm.....

but every post you make is at a different ohm load:(

what EXACTLY do you have???

I dont have the amp yet i just sold my other set up and im lookin at different stuff. Just tryin to find a new amp that is 2 channel or mono that will power 2 l7s. and i found some great deals on soundstream. Sorry

get the 4 ohm DVC L7's like you said.

you can wire each down to 2 ohm

then the pair back up to 4 ohm...

and the VGA1600.2

it does 1600x1 @ 4ohm

which will give the L7's 800w a piece.

see, you did it all yourself and didn't even know it;)
