L7 or Type X

SPL or SQ? Both I know, but one is more SPL oriented and the other is more SQ oriented.

but i figured that the l7's would have 1500 wats and the type x's would have 2000 wats... so maby the type x's would have an upper edge

personally get the L7's for spl, ive got the type x's they are more of a sql sub

Power handling is not the only indicator of output, many variables involved.

The L7 will be a better "blasting" woofer while the type X is more laid back and mellow.

Its impossible to predict which will mic better for SPL, I think that the L7 will "sound louder" though.

between the X and L7 for SPL i would lean towards the L7...

another factor for spl is that there is more cone are with the L7

if you want an easy to buy SP woofer to bang yourself silly get an L7 in a ported box

i loved my SX i had, got really loud and sounded pretty good doing it, an L7 wouldnt sound as good as an sx but i dont know which is louder, 2 SXs would wang like crazy, 2 L7s would prolly be loud and sound "meh", i would choose 2 SXs if it was me

ive got my two l7's on a kx 1200.1 and i LOVE em. BUT ur going to really want to get a ported box and tune it around 32-34 Hz to get good spl for a daily driver. Also make sure u know which ohm loads you want on your voice coils before you buy em'.
