Hey fanboy, what about size to size ratio.... kicker makes an 18" L7 but i havent seen higher then a 13....i mean 13.5 by JL

Dont get me wrong here...i own 12w1v2 right now, but i like loud...i dont listen to blue grass country so i dont need clarity......

ive heard both, and i would go L7 because theres alot of them around and you can aquire one easily, its a preference thing too, but i would take L7 because possibly cheaper, they may require a bigger box if you have the space, and my kickers take 1600 daily FYI and i just dont like JL, i dont really really like kicker either but thats besides the point, my vote L7

right now i'm pushing 2400 rms or so to my L7's daily and they handle it with no problem. don't know anything about jl but i sure love my L7's and how much power they can handle

but i will say i have a jl 300/4 pushing my speakers and i love that also. over powing the menphis speakers by 25 rms and haven't had a problem with it

You do know that your amp which is rated to put out 2000 RMS is not... or at least it shouldn't be putting out 2400 RMS right?

and you also know that your amp rated at 2000 RMS is not... or at least is not most of the time putting out 2000 RMS right?

Even if your car's voltage was directly proportionate to your amps output (which it is not by far) your car would have to run 15 volts to get 2400 watts.
