yea thats the only thing i can figure is on that sub maybe a wire is rubbing the cone when playing or something, but i will try to figure it out if i cant them should i sent it to kicker or wat

if its bottoming out shouldnt the other one do the same as well

well how if they have woven tinsels like the guy said and isnt possible

i dont think its bottoming out on 800rms in a 5.2cu ft box tuned at 34hz and the subsonic filter is set at 25hz so only 9hz difference and normally they are 10hz below box tunning is fine correct?? and i dont think the box is too big by no means. wouldnt the other sub do the same

also if it is tinsel slap wat should i do about it will it affect the sub or performance or should i not worry bout it and leave it alone

i'm sure he builds boxes good but those subs only handle 750 rms, u givin it 800 yeah it's gonna bottom out on some notes.

i doubt 50 more watts is much considering i set gains with a dmm and they arent constantly seeing a true 800rms

and from a few things i read on here ported boxes can make the sub handle power better and can actually give the sub more than rated at times and its only 50rms more per sub

and wouldnt both be doing it and not just one

well its not really noticeable unless u r right next to the sub since the bass drows out the noise if you are sitting away from it

but i am gonng take it out tommorow and try to see if i see anything if not then i am gonna let it play either it will go away or get worse and i will have to send it to kicker

i got no ideas man...i would say something mechanically wrong with the speaker.
