L7 15" louder than D2 15""?

i noticed that, home audio subs are always ported and there not really loud, but have amazing sound quality

L7's are pretty freakin' loud.
But, everyone one I've ever heard sounded like an amplified fart.

Based on my experiences, they are the worst sounding subwoofers I've heard to date.

My friend has 2 L7 12's tuned to about 40hz in Bronco, and they are LOUD, but they sound pathetic. All the people at my job, myself included, say both were just slightly louder to the ear than my one Crystal x2 15". And everyone agreed my sub sounded WAY WAY better.

Anyway...I've heard L7's on about 3 or 4 occasions, and every single one of them sounded HORRIBLE, even sealed. IMO, they are peices of garbage that should only be used for SPL purposes. Plus, some friends of mine said their corners have worn out.

IMO.. Kicker L7's = Worst sounding sub ever.

your opinion sucks. that's my opinion. I have a pair of L5 15"s that get loud and sound good. they are deffinitelty not pieces of garbage, if they were they wouldnt sell from 170 - 350 dollars a piece. when was the last time you sold a bag of trash for that much? change your opinion.

That wasn't the only place I've heard them. I've heard them in people's cars too.
One of my closest friends has 2 12" L7's in a Bronco. I think those were the ones I talked about in my first post.

broncos are just flat out horrid IMO ... most vehicles liek that *blazers, explorers* sound much louder. 2 edk 15s on a 288 watt amp shakes stuff in a friends explorer as does a friends american pro setup of 2 12s in a blazer ... while the 2 12L7s with 1k watts sounds like a legacy 12 in his bronco.

my friend moved his l7s to his car and it made a HUGE difference
