i just got a 2005 L7 15 and 5.6cuft box i have a directed 1500d 1200 to 1300 watts @1ohm a local kicker dealer hear says this sub will handle 2000 watts is this true i think the amp i have will give it plenty of power but looking at getting a hifonics hercules-xx 2000 watts @1ohm

Use your amp and you'll be fine and love it. Kinda sad a kicker dealer told you 2000 watts when thats the peak. im sure you could with gains set correctly and everything but your amp will be perfect.

Man no Kicker dealer told you that a 15" L7 could handle 2,000rms. Thats probably what you thought and not to look dumb you said that a dealer told you that. Next time just tell the truth and say you don't know how much power a L7 can take.

their website says 1000rms in a sealed box, 750 in a ported box.
WOW...where the hell does it say that? It says:
Max: 2,000

RMS: 1,000

Stop making up shit!

The 12" L7 handles 750rms! Not the 15"

Maybe they did, who are you to judge?

Anyways, I think its 1000/RMS 2000/MAX

But L7s have been known to handle more

No Kicker dealer will ever tell you to throw 2,000 watts rms to one 15" L7. If they do I don't know how the **** they are an Authorized Kicker dealer. They probably told him 2,000max and he misunderstood and now thinks they meant it can take 2,000 for daily.
Whats the name of that shop and where is it located?

Dude, 1000rms sealed, 750rms ported. Trust me.

Of course, in the meantime, you'll return to giving people shit about how they don't research their questions before they post, right?

Right on, brother, right on.

lol Raisedin305, you'd be suprised how stupid people are.

when i bought my civic back in 2003, the dealer told me "its one fast car" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

Rather than embarass you here, i'll only suggest you go to the same web page you just referred me to, go to the l7 product page, click the little tab called "manuals," click english (i'm assuming you speak english here) and read the manual.

I wont expect a reply.
