kx2500 going into protect..

Those were my thoughts exactly. I was just making sure. Now I am almost positive it will work once all the wiring is upgraded to 0 gauge. What I was trying to get across by asking was that if some stock electrical systems are able to push this amp, AT LEAST without it going into protect, then all should (given every setup had 0 gauge wire ran throughout). Thanks man for being very sensable.
And again, we'll update once we get it all installed.
not all cars are created equal, not all electrical systems are created equal. You can put that amp in another car like your with the same electrical upgrades and it could work fine. So like mentioned, once you get the new wiring all should lbe well. As for aaronmiller, you're still a idiot/e-thug. Sorry i should say punk e-thug. Threatening people over the internet to prove you're a tough guy.I fight guys like you on the way to fights.lolololol

ps.- i want to apologize to the OP, i was just reading through and aaronmiller struck a nerve. i can't stand people who think their tough and interfere with people trying to help get your problem solved.

I struck a nerve LOL!!! Yes i did big 3 and yes is all done in 1/0. My grounds are good and solid, and very good grounds i believe as well, seat belt bolt. I have my left battery grounded on the left side of the vehicle, and my right battery grounded on the right side, on a different ground. Once again, all but one battery is brand new bought about a month ago, the other one is up front and was bought 6 months ago when i got my alt from dom. Here is a picture of my rear batts, i dont have any other pics of the grounds or what not. The battery on the right has now been moved up front and there is a new everstart maxx in its place. Wiring is a bit different now with the grounds as i stated above, both batterys have their own dedicated ground.

Thanks guys!

well your electrical system looks up to par, you need to help get your friends electrical system where yours is. I'm sure he'll be bumping along any time now.

LOL, think it was the first time...JUST KIDDING //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you got that 200 amp alt, 3 batteries, all that 1/0 gage wire and your voltage is droping down that much there is a problem somewhere.

Is this at idle or while driving with the rpms over 2k?

If at idle I can see it drop that low after a few minutes but not right away and if driving over 2k and your voltage is droping that much you got a problem somewhere.

Thanks man, idk if its up to par or not though, because like i said, it was dropping to a low of 11.8 was the farthest it would drop, that was after beating it for about a minute or two. I just wish this dude had enough room for at least one more battery, theres non way he can fit one in the back though man, his box is wayyyy to big. Only thing im seeing him do is possibly put a kinetik 2400 up front possibly and an alt upgrade. But as long as he can get it where it wont enter protect i dont think hes too worried about it right now.

Does he have enough room to fit it in the spare tire well?

This voltage was taken at idle after about 2-3 minutes of beating it, maybe more. I really dont know his car that well so i couldnt tell you if he has enough room dude, i was thinking maybe he could squeeze an optima in somewheres but i just dont know at this point. I will test the voltage drop tomorrow and see what it does right off the bat. Ill get back with you guys, thanks for the help i appreciate it.

I cant get to it. My box takes up my ENTIRE trunk. We actually had to bend some stuff to get it to all fit. We built the box inside the trunk as well. I took the cap off today and it seemed to improve a tad bit. Hopefully the 0 guage coming next week will fix the rest of it.

Ok guys, i did some metering today just messing around. After testing for a couple minutes, i put in an audio cd and started up a little street beating, it was a very cold day and voltage only dropped to 12.6 at the amp on my multimeter. Voltage only dropped that low once in a great while, it stayed around 13.2-13.6 almost the entire time. What do you guys think? Keep in mind this was after me testing for about 5 minutes.

Thats much better voltage. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ok good deal man, now do you think possibly it could be just the difference in amps? The kicker probably sucks more current dont you guys think? Im running 1- solid audio 2500.

lol I know the kicker pounded the hell out of your sub. Quite a bit of difference between the two amps. lol

Not as mush as you think man, i did a little testing, yours is prolly putting around 100-200 watts more than mine maybe. Once i drop mine down to .5 ohm thats when it will really starts to shine. Ive dropped it to .17 before on straight burps, and then it REALLY puts out the power

haha you can even say it didn't pound the hell out of it! After 2 minutes your sub smelled like a burning house! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif lol

I bet my amp was pushing at least 3000 watts, if not more.
