Kicker RED LED Problem

Ok, I just installed a KX.400.1 for my 2 compvrs prewired for 2 ohm from kicker. I connected the positive terminal on the amp for the system to be live. I forgot to charge the cap so there was a big spark. But the 4 guage main power line fuse did not blow. When I turned on the car the amp turned on w/ a red led its not hot or able to make any noise and the gains, crossover, and bass boost were turned down low. Do you guys have any ideas what is wrong?

may have zapped the amp....unhook everything, and re-do

Do you mean unplug everything and plug back in? Why would that help? The amp is five yrs old and never been used I dont even know if it worked to begin with before I installed it.

totally discharge, and re-do and see if it powers up at all....

does the cap not discharge when you turn off the car
