kx2500 cutting out!?!?

Hey I just got my system installed last night. 2-12 solo-x's with a kx2500 and 2 kinetik batteries. I also have an isolator installed to seperate the rear batteries from the front. I have the batteries running on a 12v system (don't remember the name for it but positive to positive to amp) I have the subs wired to two ohms. The system sounds good except when I turn it up really loud the amp cuts off and on. When the amp shuts off it goes into protect mode but turns right back on. Any ideas on what it might be? Thanks.

Well I have no way of checking the voltage, the voltage meter on my truck only measures the front battery which is now seperated from the back batts. I ran out of those circle connector things for the battery grounds so it is just the wire wrapped in a bolt...would that make the amp cut out when at high volumes? Thanks for the quick replies guys, I appreciate it.

possibly, i'd definitely go get a ring terminal and properly install/mount it.

Could it be because I have only a 150amp fuse instead of the usual 250 amp? I also have 1/0 gauge wire running from the front to back, and 4 gauge wire for the ground and between the batteries...? I ran out of 1/0 and all I had was 4 gauge (didn't think it would make a difference because the runs of 4 gauge are short (less than 5 feet))

Would 4 gauge be enough, or should I go out and get some more 1/0 gauge? Sorry about all of the questions, but I just got the system yesterday and it kinda pisses me off that it isn't working properly. I usually only use 4 gauge throughout the whole system with no problems, but I have never had this big of an amp before either...

That amp needs 1/0 power & ground.
