Hey, I recently got into a car accident. I'm not sure if the accident has caused this but I took my system and put it in the mini-van. Yes, the mini-van. I ran 2 4guage wires instead of a 0 Guage for power. For some reason, When I try to turn the gain up on my amp it shuts off as if it was not getting enough power. Do you guys have a possible solution?

Unknown brand 4 guage wires from battery.

you might have to have a better ground as well as you starving the amp right now, maybe try to run it at 4 ohms or something, there is no whay it is gettign enough power now, maybe the van has a 60 amp alternator?

what is your voltage when it cuts off.

for some reason when you turn your amp up it shuts off as if it was not getting enough power?

it need mOARar power

low voltage due to the small wire. you need 0 gauge power & ground.
he has 2 4 guage which iirc is = to 1 1/0 guage

check your ground, and what was your voltage, and what size is your alt.

Also if its cheap 4 guage wire, it may not be ACTUALLY 4 guage, some companies use thick *** coating and just a few strands of wires to give the appearance of 4 guage.
