KX1200.1 upgraded from P3001

Ok so I hooked up the system again because I was in dieing need of some bass(not to loud but just to fill the **** gap. I haven't had time to set the amp but just turn the gain ever so slightly, maybe 1/4turn to be on the safe side and WOW, I turned the volume to 10 and had to turn it back down to 7 because everything was rattleing serious no lie.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif it was like the amps before but they were set higher and i had to turn the volume up to 20-25. I can't wait till i get the dmm and a nice day outside and woohoo i can see what these things will really do, and they weren't moving much.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

I don't have the bass boost dial and it might be a good thing I think!!! Yeah I have a buddy with a dmm but first i have to resolve a rattleing issue.

Wow I havent seen 10's in such a long time they look so small compared to that amp and I have the kicker sx 1250.1 I love the kicker amps

They look small, but they get loud... I am going to thunderbay next year to get them SPL'ed... No one in my city has a mic

How would you make an estimate at how loud they are can anyone describe what 140 sounds like. I know that my seats vibrate, the mirrors shake, the pedals vibrate some, and all body panels rattle...And no my car isn't a beater if it sounds like that lol you can feel it in your throat, your whole body starts to tingle when it is turned up and thats on rap not a test tone.

wtf.... me thinking you have a pair of cvrs in a prefab sealed box....

Those subs will handle all of the amps power by the way. I would still stay low on the bass boost and never go over 1/4 of it especially with that much real power. As for the rattling, it happens. Theres really no easy way to fix it. Just deadener, stuff some polyfill in the rear deck, test it, redo.

haha, fak the pre fab shit, that box is custom cut in half so 2 boxs in one both tuned to 40 hz yes kinda high but they get loud and thats all the room i had unless i removed the back seat. the net ^3 feet is 4.6

OHH and i never touched the the bass boost, it is still and 0dbs.

What should i set the x-over to?

here is how much room I have, and i weighed the box and amp, 150 pounds

thanks! why is it set to 80hz... what is the reason behind it.
subs are not supposed to play anything above 80 or 100 hz. Thats usually the midbass range and it will mess up the stage in the car. I personally dont mind the subs going up to around 120 because I do not have dedicated midbass and on some songs the bass will be really lacking and its because the xover is too low. Just test yours out and see what sounds good.
