Help with Kicker amp that went toes up!

It went toes up over a month ago after only being installed in my car by an audio shop for one month brand new out of the box 800.4. Kicker is trying to deny warranty repair on it and charge $130 to fix it. I now have three Kicker amps and was thinking about getting a fourth D for the truck but now I don't know. I was given an 800 number to call them and a contact of Tom. Anyone a Rep from Kicker here that can help or a Kicker inside person?

me...there is no Tom that works here...anywhere...ifg you bought it from an authorized dealer, installed by them, you have a warranty....

I bought it from a guy on a Buick message board. More than likely the receipt is long gone. Is it hopeless?
