Korns *BEST* album...?

Their albums have declined in quality since they came out. Self Titled was my favorite and it got so bad i dont even listen to there new shit. So IMO self titles, Life is peachy, follow the leader, and issues was horrible IMO.

Issues was a new step for them, kinda. It wasn't bad per se, as any other album that a band might've randomly put out, but obviously compared to their first three, it sucked fat donkey sack. I like issues (most of it), but it seems to have a bad omen, because i'm already on my third copy of it (first got majorly scratched not even a month after it came out, second cracked when I was putting it in my cd visor), when my self titled is one of the oldest cds that I own. BTW madrox, W00p W00P //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif

The self-titled album was the best and opened the door for all the shitty rap/metal acts. After that, Follow the Leader had a great mixture of rap and metal while maintaining the roots of the band resonably well. Life is Peachy is too muddled and unfocused to really be considered an album rather than a collection of singles with too much filler in between. Issues and all the successive albums are pre-packaged singles that are a shadow of their former selves. Instead of growing, the band is becoming more bland and commercial.

I'm not saying this just because they "blew up" when Follow the Leader was released. The first album went platinum with no real airplay and they were popular well before Follow the Leader. It's a matter of being experimental to the extent where they are easily distinguishable yet don't get into a formula like AC/DC or what is becoming of Godsmack now.

My favorite Korn album is Follow The leader. It might now be the best album out there, but its definately up there.

on a side note:

When I saw them in concert about i want to say a year ago, they were bad ***. Being on the floor of a korn concert was bad ***

Radar, I agree with you on both accounts. Follow the leader just had the perfect feeling to it. I admit, i'd get a lot crazier any day to their self-titled cd, but despite all the raw, pure energy it had, Follow the Leader just seemed to suit them better.

And even now, their shows still rock harder than anyone elses. I have a friend, pretty much the size of a bear, who went to his first slayer concert when he was 12 (he's 20 now), and he admits that the pits at sick&twisted were crazier than any others that he'd ever been in. I'd have to say the only pits i've been in that came close were for Slayer and Sepultura at Tatoo the Earth.

Heresy - I agree with your description of Life Is Peachy, but you have to admit "Kill You" is arguably(sp?) one of their top 3 songs, if not their best.
