Knu Fuse Holders S-U-C-K!!!

i have been using their fuse holder for a couple years now with no problems and i tug on the wire a little every once in awhile. you must not have had the set screw or bolt or what ever tight enough.

I ran into the same thing on Sunday.

Helping a buddy pull his subs and amp out for a trip. When I went to disconnect the fuse I found it melted through the plastic holder and one of the wires fell out of the lug when I picked it up.

What was funny though - the washers on both ends of the fuse were melted as well as the insulation on the wires. The fuse never blew. Mini-ANL 150a. Buddy said he thought he smelt something burning?

Anyway, this was obviously caused by the loose wire arc.

Think this could have happened with any brand.

I've never had a problem with Knu's fuse holders, or any of the other stuff I've bought from them for that matter.
im not really a big fan of their ring terminals i like the 2/0 copper lugs you can get from hardware stores better they just done look as good

i have used there stuff and i to have looked at them and was like hmmmm. so your truck is good to go?
Yup, all set now...built my new fuse holders out of Azek and some stainless bolts and nuts along with crimped ring terminals...bitches ain't ever workin' loose again I can tell you that.

Only additional thing that ****** outta all this is when my electrical went out, it fried the power door lock module in my driver's side door...replacement module is $115 and the dealer wanted to charge me another $135 to replace it so I did it myself today.

How often did you check the connections for tightness?
Not often enough. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I typically check everything for tightness fairly often but I had placed these fuse holders in a tight spot so it was a pain in the *** to get in there and check them so I honestly never did...my bad on that one. Anyways, my new holders are accessible and easy to check.

If you dont keep the connections tight, it will arc and start melting ****. Knu holders are fine, ive been using them since i got into this game. Soundsl ike User neglect to me.
Sorry worst, they are POS...if they were designed right one would not have to worry about them working loose over time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

there is nothing wrong with knu. you have to maintain your stuff.
not maintaining a system and expecting it to last is like a girl not washing her vag and expecting it to be fresh.
I disagree...if they were designed right they should not work loose over time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I just performed a $2 build on my own fuse holders and there is no fucking way they will work loose over time...guaranteed...wanna buy some? Only $49.99 for you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif
